In this image, these colossal creatures were safely making their way back to the Antarctic to feed on a feast of krill during the summer months. My heart pounded as I tried to match their pace and remain alongside them for as long as possible, resulting in this powerful snapshot of underwater photography.
The incredible bond between these magnificent creatures was mesmerising to witness. It emphasised to me their close connection and dependency on teamwork - in very much the same way we humans depend upon one another too. It was heartwarming to see the efforts they went to, in order to protect their young while travelling across long distances as a loyal family unit.
