Often during my underwater photography dives at the Great Barrier Reef, I am met with a colourful variety of marine life. And this dive was no different, as a current pushed me close to a school of agitated bigeye trevally, swirling around in a fantastic flashing formation.
When capturing this image, I was lucky enough to spot three red bass caught in the rippling and rolling cyclone of fish. The contrast between the shimmering silver and the burnished bronze scales produced an incredibly attractive effect. For me, this image evokes a sense of anticipation and energy, with the untold story of what agitated these fish sparking the imagination.
