When embarking on my underwater photography career, one thing I was particularly excited to experience was the striking beauty of the marine life that called it home. And on this dive, I was far from disappointed when encountering this stunning angelfish. This image is one of my most striking glimpses of this ocean life, with the bright bold yellow stripes and electric blue highlights.

When first spotting this angelfish, I made sure to approach slowly and carefully so as not to scare her off. Thankfully, with my minimal hand movement and careful breathing, she allowed me close enough to capture this image before darting back into the protection of the nearby reef. It was a reminder of the need to approach underwater ecosystems with patience and respect, and that interacting with them is always a gift.
