These beautiful creatures are on the IUCN (International Union of the Conservation of Nature) Red List of Threatened Species and listed as Endangered. The low angle of the sun made for an ethereal backdrop of glistening corals and dancing light rays.

The lagoon at Lady Elliot Island is always a fantastic location to encounter beautiful green turtles, and when capturing this particular image I was struck by just how magical this endangered species truly is.
I believe that the best photography tells a story, whilst evoking some form of emotion in the viewer too. So when creating this particular wall art my intention was to showcase not just how elegant the green turtle herself was, but also the richness and splendour of the ocean ecosystem she calls home. Combined, I hope this image tells a story of hope, serenity, peace - but also fragility and the importance of protecting this marine life.
